Why won't you open up, open up?
Won't you open up, open up
Why won't you open up, open up?
Open up, open up
Why won't you open up, open up?
I see it coming, close enough, close enough
The weight is bearing down, you know
On me
'cause sometimes loves an open cuff
You bold or what?
I see it coming, closer now, the face is up
The weight is bearing down, you know
On me
Open up, open up
Baby, it’s for only
Left on pause you know me
Hold like waves, don’t fold it
Ocean waves
Open up you’ll see
Sinking in deep, it’s on oh yeah
It’s like ecstasy, rolling, rolling no care
Why won't you open up, open up?
Won't you open up, open up
Why won't you open up, open up?
Open up, open up
Open up, open up
Why won't you open up, open up?
Won't you open up, open up
Why won't you open up, open up?
Open up, open up
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
